<h1>Hilda Horst</h1> 1923 – 2007 Passed away peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, on Sunday April 1, 2007, at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Amon of New Hamburg. Loving mother of Dana Currie and her partner Mike Bott of Kitchener, Brian and his wife Sharon of Toronto, Darryl of Kitchener, Cathy and her husband Alan MacDonald of Ottawa, Peter and his wife Lisa of Kitchener and Susan and her husband Guy Cameron of Kitchener Proud and loving grandmother of Rebecca and her husband Jeff Hadaway, Sarah Currie, Katy Horst, Alexandra Seebach, Scott MacDonald, Lauren, Danielle and Emily Horst, Jacob and Quinn Cameron. Hilda will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary Penner and Wanda Trautman, and brother, Peter Hubert and his wife Sue. Predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mary Hubert; a daughter, Nancy Heather in infancy; and grandson, Adam Horst. Hilda was a member of Wilmot Mennonite Church and volunteered her time with the Wilmot Home Support Services, Nithview Home Seniors, the Marching Mothers, Ladies Auxillary and the UCW. She served overseas as a photographer with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Hilda will be lovingly remembered for her creativity and humble humanity. Friends are invited to bring and share their special photographs and memories of Hilda, with her family, at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family burial will take place at Wilmot Mennonite Cemetery on Thursday morning. The funeral service to celebrate Hilda’s life and faith will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, on Thursday April 5, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Horst officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
