Obituary of Helen Neufeld

Helen has joined her husband, Henry Nefueld to be with the Lord on November 14, 2010 at the age 81. Special and treasured mother of Sharon Gray, Holly Woelfle and her husband John, Bonnie Oberle and her husband Kevin and John Neufeld and his wife Cindy. Loving and gentle Nanny to Joshua Woelfle and his wife Amber, and Sarah Orr and her husband Ryan. Cherished sister of Erica Janzen and her husband Rudy, Elfrieda Poetker and the late Peter, Margaret Boldt and her husband Edward, and her favourite brother, Ron Mathies and his wife Gudrun. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She will be greeted by her special nephew, Bernie Boldt and by her parents, John and Sara Mathies. Mom, you are the epitome of selfless love and patience. Right to the end you were grateful for every kindness and always uncomplaining. You set the bar high for all of us to strive for. You treated everyone with respect and each person was made to feel welcome and special. You chose not to judge others but only to love. You were a Mom and Nanny to many and you loved each of them. You and Dad were truly committed to each other with eternal love. Mom, you will be so missed by all your children, grandchildren, sisters, brother and all your family and friends. But we know you will forever be the angel on our shoulders. Your sparkling blue eyes, sweet smile and favourite pearls, will always be remembered by the countless lives you've personally touched. Friends are invited to share their memories of Helen during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, November 16 from 6-9 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate her life and faith will take place at Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church, 19 Ottawa St. N., Kitchener on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
