Obituary of Leander Weber

WEBER, Leander (Lea) 1930 - 2010 Passed away, peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2010. He was 80 years old. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife and best friend of 57 years, Mary; his children, Larry (Kathie) and Sue (Luis); and his grandchildren, Maggie, Ryan, and Aimee. He is also survived by his sisters, Marj Kempel and Sharon (John) Waechter and brother, Bob Weber. Lea leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Isidore and Marie (Wagner) Weber and siblings, Rita Kelly, Florence Finney, Clarence Weber and Doris Hewton. Lea was the owner of Lea's Sunoco for 27 years and continued his work with Donnie's Auto Repair in Erbsville before retiring in 2000. Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, November 20 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, November 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Piotr Machnacki from St. Agnes RC Church officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room. As expressions of sympathy, the family requests memorial donations in Lea's name to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
