Obituary of Reta Schulte

Passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness, at St. Mary's General Hospital, on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the age of 92. Reta was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and the Breithaupt Seniors Social Club. Loved mother of Bruce (Loretta) Jonas of London, Bryan (Nancy) Jonas of Waterloo, step-mother of Janet (Tom) Gimbel and Bob (Ursula) Schulte of Kitchener. Grandmother of Marta (Marc) Chase of Austin Texas, Rob (Kim) Jonas of London, Amy Widmeyer of Cambridge and Alisa Jonas of Kitchener, Wendy Jorgensen, Brian (Cathy)Gimbel, Mike (Jesse) Schulte and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert B. Jonas and second husband David R. Schulte, parents John and Mary Hammer, sister Florence Naumann, brother Harold (Helen) Hammer, and grandchildren Grant Schulte and Jennifer Bradshaw. The family wishes to acknowledge Reta's niece, Shirley Koenig and sisters in law Janet Gimbel and Ursula Schulte for the many acts of kindness and care given to Reta over many years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Reta with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 10 am to 10:45 am. The funeral service to celebrate Reta's life will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am. A Reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
