Obituary of Melinda Dietrich

Passed away at Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre, Mount Forest, on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at age 94. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Dietrich and good friend of the late Edwin Waechter; loved mother of Dennis and his wife Elizabeth and the late Louanne Snyder and her husband Reg; loving grandmother of Trevor (Brenda), Scott (Laura), and Todd (Christine) Snyder and Dennis (Tricia) Dietrich Jr.; great-grandmother of Megan, Halley, Cameron, Ryan and Kayla; dear sister of Anna Scheerer. Lovingly remembered by her special nieces Diane Moffat and Eileen Calzavara; other nieces and nephews; and Pat Vasey, Linda Fuller and Ruth Boretski. Predeceased by sisters, Laura Strauss, Edna Zuurhoud, Mary Fritz, Frances Vogel, Agnes Hummel, Margaret Schuett, and Florence DeBlock and brothers, Walter, Alex, and Norman Kieswetter. Friends are invited to share their memories of Verna with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Verna's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edward Sheridan officiating. Interment in Parkview Cemetery will be followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
