Obituary of Richard Clayfield

Passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital , Kitchener on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the age of 82. Richard was born on Clayfield Avenue in Waterloo. Predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Margaret (nee McNeill) in 1996 and daughter-in-law, Karen Clayfield in November, 2010. Loving father to Rick, Jim, Mary (Larry) Witzel, Rob (Eva), and Sue Carriere (Pete Vankruistum). Remembered by his grandchildren, Scott (Tammy), Jamie (Kara), Joey, Jeff (Amy), Melissa (Steve), Tim (Kat), Jason, Justin, Steven (Steph), Crystal (Matt), Casey, and Amber. Also loving Great-Grandpa to Jesse, Patrick, Hope, Peyton, Sawyer, Lily, Beau, Titan, Quinn, Abbi, Phoenix, Krymson, and Zack. Also survived by brother-in-law, James McNeill and his wife Myrna. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Richard was the last surviving member of his family, predeceased by his parents, John and Frieda (Lorenz) and siblings, Thomas, Bill (Lil), Betty (Edward George), Victor (Della), Lil (Hilton Indoe), Edna (Norman Frey), Dorothy (Grant Heinbuch), Gladys (John Olender), and Alf (Mary). Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. Following cremation, a private family interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
