Obituary of Harold Winterburn

Passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at his residence at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Centre in Kitchener. Predeceased by his wife Kay in 1990. Loving father of Dennis and his wife Judy Winterburn of Kitchener, and Susan Rollo of Shingletown. Loving grandpa of Michael Winterburn of Ottawa, and Mark and his wife Jena Winterburn of Mt. Bridges, Ontario. Harold was born in Oldham, England on June 21, 1910, and was predeceased by his parents Luke and Ethel Winterburn, his brothers Arthur and Norman, and sister Margaret. He is survived by his sister Ethel Nesbitt of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Harold enjoyed a 47-year career with the Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada. He was a longtime member of the Church of St. John the Evangelist (Anglican) Kitchener and Westmount Golf and Country Club. In his retirement years, he volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Rockway Senior Kiwanis Club, Kitchener. A memorial service for Harold will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo with visitation from 12 noon to 1:45 p.m. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
