Obituary of Halide Arasli
Formerly of Ankara, Turkey, passed away peacefully at Heritage House in St. Jacobs on December 25, 2010 at 95 years of age. She was the eldest child of the late Naime and Nuri Unal; beloved wife of the late Ziya Arasli (2000); so dearly loved mother of Lale Renksizbulut and Mehmet Arasli; mother-in-law of Metin Renksizbulut and Gulsun Arasli and very dear grandmother of Muge Renksizbulut and Alev Arasli.
There were only a few female doctors when she graduated with honours as a Pediatrician and then she served with great distinction at the Numune Hospital in Ankara for 32 years. She was a good doctor, respected by peers, loved by children. She was a very talented person, a giver, a supportive wife and a very loving, kind mother and grandmother. She was an earth angel.
The family is most appreciative for the kind support and care from the staff of Heritage House over the last six and a half years. We want to thank you all for making mom comfortable.
We also want to thank the very capable nurses at the Medical Day Unit at the Grand River Hospital for giving mom blood so many times with utmost care. We are grateful to all the people who donate blood for others to live.
Over the years the doctors who took care of mom are Dr. E.B. Schultz, Dr. J.A. Campbell, Dr. Renu Bajaj and Dr. Peter Whitby; we thank you all very much for your hard work and caring.
Her final resting place is at the Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. ALLAH RAHMET EYLESIN.
