Obituary of Clifford Bryers

Entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Wednesday, December 23, 2010. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 72 years Kathleen (May 3, 2007), son Lloyd and 2 grandsons, brother Stan and sister Marion. Cherished father of Beverley (John) Braun of Kitchener and Lois of Peterborough. Honored and respected grandfather of Douglas (Iris) Emery of Columbus Ohio, Cathy (Randy) Romano of Lakefield, Philip Emery of Toronto, Wayne (Jennifer) Braun of Kansas City Missouri, Trevor (Joanne) Herrle Braun of St. Agatha, and Robin (Mauricio) Sierra of Vancouver. Fondly remembered and loved by his 11 great-grandchildren as well as his sister-in-law Alfaretta Bryers. Clifford was born in Hamilton and trained as a precision tool grinder. His career took him to management at General Motors in St. Catharines until his retirement in 1970. He and Kathy then took on the adventure of volunteering at a Sudan Interior Mission station Egbe, Nigeria. Clifford was a charter member of Calvary Church, St. Catharines. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Waterloo and a charter member of the Super 60's program. His love of music inspired him to play piano, organ, violin, tuba and Xylophone. The family would like to thank the staff of Lanark Heights for the loving care and companionship shown to Clifford. At his request, a private family burial and committal service for both he and Kathleen has taken place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo Condolences for the family and donations to Word of Life Youth and Christian Ministries or World Vision may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.
