Obituary of Paul Kuntz
"If you begin the day with love in your heart, truth in your mind, and peace in your spirit, you not only benefit by their presence but also bring them to others, to your family and friends, and to all those whose destiny draws across your path…" Following a long and courageous battle with cancer, Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and sons on Wed., Dec. 29, 2010. He was loving husband to Karin, his dear friend and wife of 25 years. He was a cherished Dad or "Pup" to Mike, Andy, Bill, Mike, Mark and Derek and courageous in his own right raising six boys! "Grandpa Paul" or "BeeBop" to Jaxon, Mikanna, A.J., Shauni, Mia and Maggie. "Puppy" to Danielle. Predeceased by his parents Oscar and Martha and brother David. He was a beloved brother to Mary, Bob, Doris, Anne, Sandy and Louie. "Uncle Paul" to nieces and nephews. Friend and confidant to so many. Born in Detroit and growing up in Cleveland and Kitchener/Waterloo, Paul loved life. He lived his life full of excitement, laughter and adventure. He worked hard at home and at business. As a husband and father he taught us love, honesty and integrity. As a businessman he was a strong, passionate and caring leader. Paul was a spiritual man and his faith in God was strong. He was a generous and a committed supporter of charity. He cared deeply about giving back to his community. Paul was blessed in his ability to make people smile and laugh often. His heart was strong to the end - he had much love to give. We will miss him more than words can say. Everyone is invited to share their memories of Paul Kuntz during the visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 56 Duke Street S., Kitchener on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. Following the service, we invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Paul's life at The Pines (formerly The Knotty Pine), 115 Fountain Street South, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his memory to the Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation of Canada (WMFC) or to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
