Obituary of E. Calvin Bowyer

Cal passed away peacefully at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the age of 83. Cherished husband of Garnice, with whom on October 7, 2010 he celebrated 55 years of marriage. Dear father of Melody (Gary), Shari (Gil), Mark (Natalie), Kellie (Laird) and the late Lisa (Jim). Grandfather of Matt, Phil, Erin, Rachael, Joy, Stephanie, Joshua, Naomi, Nicole, Lorna-Louise, Caleb, Zachary, and great-grandson Jonah. Also survived by his sister, Marguerite. Predeceased by his parents Maude and Ab and brothers William and Melvin. Cal spent many years in business with his brother Mel. "Bowyer Brothers" left a legacy of excellent workmanship in the local flooring industry. A quiet and private man, family meant everything to Cal. He will be waiting on the other side of the Jordan River. At Cal's request, a private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.
