Obituary of David Pine

Dave passed away suddenly at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. He was born in Halifax, on July 19, 1951, and lived in the Truro area in his early years. For the past forty years Dave lived in Ontario, first in Toronto and then Waterloo. He was a welder and worked as a painter with Broil King, Waterloo. Dave enjoyed people, nature, and music. He had a keen interest in spirituality and was a true humanitarian who helped countless people in their time of need. He also loved the ocean, which was one of his first stops during his visits home to Nova Scotia. Beloved son of Phillip and the late Tillie Pine and dear brother of Ann (Tony) Benson, Vickie Pine, all in Nova Scotia and Lila Pine, Toronto. He is also survived by two nieces, four nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Dave will also be greatly missed by his Waterloo family, Dale Hamacher, Meagan Madden, Alicia Polden, and his very good friends Mark and Jeff. A memorial reception will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 3-5 p.m. with a time of sharing special memories of Dave at 4 p.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the House of Friendship, Kitchener or to the charity of your choice may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
