Obituary of John Morton

Passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 age 83 years. Dr. Morton was a retired Professor of Botany at the University of Waterloo. Loving husband of Trudy Rugelis-Morton (Geisselmann) of Waterloo. Dear father of Eileen Morton (John Hann) of Orillia, David Morton (Judy) of Conestogo. Step father of Mike (Virginia) Rugelis of Markham, Sonja (Brian) Laguex of Kitchener. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Ian (Leanne), Megan, Amanda (Adam), Brinley; step grandchildren Serena (Chris) and Tiffany. Also survived by a sister-in-law Marian Hunter of England and long time friend and associate Joan Venn. Predeceased by his first wife Doreen Morton (2002) and a brother Arthur. Friends are invited to share their memories during visitation on Friday, January 14th, 2011 at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Cremation has taken place.
