Obituary of Frederick Kannapin
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vic Kannapin at Trinity Village Care Centre on Monday, January 17, 2011 in his 91st year.
Loving husband of Louise (Campbell) for 60 years. Proud father of Marilyn and son-in-law Ron Tschirhart of Port Moody, BC and Vicki Kannapin of Kitchener.
Predeceased by his parents Fred and Peggy Kannapin and brother Ken (Vel) Kannapin.
Vic was a veteran of the Second World War serving in the RCAF as an air-frame mechanic. He retired after 30 years as a transformer assembler with General Electric. He was an original member of Highland Road United Church. Golf was his passion, but also enjoyed travelling. Vic always had a story or a little joke to tell.
Over the past 21 years, Vic overcame many obstacles with grace and a wonderful sense of humour. Louise thought "her boy" was AMAZING! Vic was a lifetime resident of Kitchener and will be missed by neighbours, friends, and family.
