Doug was an awesome spirit, twinkle in his eye, quick witted and a sense of very dry humour. I'll remember him always on the diamond, perfect spot for him...kicking diamond dirt, walking to the moun...taking charge good or bad....Amazing...
IDoug, 'm having a glass of wine on you tonight, great memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you Jen, Danny, Pat, my Bro and lovely Jack.

Jenn my heart felt condolences to you and family with the passing of Doug. I had the pleasure of meeting Doug a few years ago while fishing with Tom Clancy here in the Bay. Doug was a one of a kind strait shooting guy that was always fun to be around on fishing trips that is. He will be missed. Cheers Doug! Jamie

A great fastball trooper has managed his final innings and the world is a sadder, emptier place today with the loss of "Coach". In the great playoffs of the late '70s and early '80s, Doug led his successful Tien Hoa Inn team onto the field for many thrilling moments in the Kitchener Fastball League and elsewhere. The greatest rivalry our team encountered during those wonderful days in the KFL was taking the diamond with Tien Hoa Inn on the opposing bench. RIP Doug - you led a colourful life that will long be remembered by all who crossed your path, competed with and against your team, and shared a cool one while reminiscing.
