Obituary of James O'Rourke

Passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2011, at age 84. Beloved husband of Elvina (Vi) Sauder for 40 years. Jim will also be greatly missed by Vi's children, Orvie Sauder (Linda), Lloyd Sauder (Debby), and Darlene Royle (Kevin), and his children, Patrick O'Rourke, Barbara Ann Brown (Chris), Mary Jane O'Rourke, and Denise Meyer (Greg). Grandpa Jim to Rachel, Michael, Stephanie, Nicole, Jason, Kim, Cliff, Dillon, Mitchell, Shelley, Tricia, Derek, Jamie, and Matthew; great-grandfather to Jessica, Josie, Crystal, Ashley, Ryan, Adian, and Emma, and dear brother-in-law of Dorothy O'Rourke. Predeceased by brothers, Bill, Tom and his wife Alma, Joe and his wife Irene, and a sister, Mary Buckley and her husband James. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ron Curl officiating. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo will be followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
