Obituary of Lila Kranz

Passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness at Freeport Health Centre, on January 24, 2011 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Rev. Donald Kranz for 65 years, loving mother of Donna (Joe) Seidl, Dennis (Lin) Kranz, Rev. Doug (Elizabeth) Kranz, and Deborah (Henry) Hutteri. Cherished grandmother of Paula (Craig), Michael (Michelle), Andrew (Nadine), Wendy (Mamoru), Nathan (Ismael), Steve, Jerry, Jason, April (Dana), Crystal, Kaija, Amanda, Joel, Lucas and great-grandmother of Alexis, Broden, Parker, Rachel, Chloe, Russell and Owen Lila is also survived by her sisters Martha Grant and Alma (Gilbert) Kauffeldt and has been predeceased by her brothers Albert, Arnold and Fred and sisters Hulda and Adeline. A loving and faithful wife, a supportive and caring mother, a proud grand and great grandmother, and a special friend to many, she will be greatly missed, but not mourned, for she is Home with her Lord. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lila with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. John's Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 a.m until 10:45 a.m. The worship service to celebrate her life and her faith will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church, 22 Willow Street, Waterloo on Saturday, January 29 at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home. Cremation will take place followed by a private family interment.
