To the Kuntz Family... My sincere condolences for the loss of such a beloved Man, husband, Father, Grandfather. I had the honour of meeting Bob a couple of times in one of his favourite spots up at the "Kuntz Family Cottage" when Fiona and I would spend the summers up there babysitting the grandchildern; I understood his joy of that cottage surrounded by his family & friends and the view of the lake. I will surely miss you, you were a fighter, I wanted to visit you so many times, I remember the last time, your granddaughter was there, i still have my keychain,i will keep it with me forever. i hope you are ok mary, you were the kindest wife, thank-you for the special dinner at your house with bob, i`m so glad you shared that time with me, i will never forget you bobby, and you too Mary. To Mary & Family: I was saddened to read about Bob's passing in Monday's STAR - they printed a great photo and included some touching remarks from Liz about her Dad. It has been a long haul for you and Bob with this debilitating disease - he is at peace now. It is particularly sad to lose him so soon after Paul's death in December. Our condolences to Mary and the entire Kuntz family. I remember growing up and one of the first CFL player cards I had was of Bobby Kuntz and my first memories of watching Grey Cups included seeing him play. I thought he was great and what an honour it was to meet him so many years later at the squash club. He was a true gentleman and great athlete. He will be missed!

Dear Mary and the entire Kuntz family, I would like to echo my sister Marybeth's sentiments about Bobby. He was such a kind person with a wonderful sense of humour and we were always excited whenever you visited the Bowman household. I distinctly remember when I began working as a reporter in the Hamilton area in the 1990s, I met some former Hamilton Tiger-Cats players at a civic event. When I mentioned to them that I was related to Bobby Kuntz, their eyes lit up and they began telling me stories of his greatness on the field. I was beaming with pride. Dear Mary and family, Please accept my sincere sympathy and prayers on the passing of dear Bob. Yes, he indeed was a fighter, and a man of great hope. Some of my fondest memories of Bob was his daily participation in the morning Eucharist at St. Francis. His faith was very important to him, and I was privileged to have taken him the Eucharist at Columbia Forest many times while at St. Francis. Even though it may have appeared that Bob was not aware of what was happening, once we started with the Sign of the Cross and the Our Father he was prepared to receive his Lord and Saviour in the Eucharist with devotion and love. Bob was an example of humility. A man who had so much and did so much, yet never wanted to take the limelight. Of course, Mary, so much of who he was and what he did he credited to your love always. God bless all of you at this time. I will remember Bob in my Masses and prayers. May our faith in the resurrection of Jesus bring you all peace and consolation. Rev. Paul S.
