Well. We all knew this day would come. Doesn`t make it easier hearing it. Memories of Grandpa? Swimming in the pool, careful not to splash him floating around in his boat. Never saw him swim, just in and into the boat. He barely got wet! My daughters didn't get to know him. They remember him calling them "Little Monsters" They would go downstairs and watch tv with him sometimes. Jordyn actually crawled into his lap watching tv once. Kaitlyn liked to make him laugh by playing with his cat. Something I will always remember. He has found his peace now. He will be missed.

I grew up in Winterbourne and spent many of my days at Roy's house during the time that Pat, Lorne, Tracey and Scott lived there too. Tracey and I were best friends at a young age and her grandpa's house was much more entertaining than mine - a pool, the fish ponds and of course the satellite dish (unheard of at the time). There were always people around and even though I was the neighbourhood kid I was always welcome. May your family have comfort knowing he lived a full life, and may Roy now rest in peace. Oh my , where do i start! My Grandpa was a big influence on me, having lived with both my grandparents as well as my parents until i was 11 then later on living with grandpa till a few years ago. He was a great person to anyone who had the honor to know him. Always in good humor and quick to laugh and make jokes! He will be dearly missed by my mom Patty, myself and my 2 girls Alexis and Casey who got to to know him almost as well as i did!!!
