Obituary of Ann Hayden
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother "GG" on February 17, at the age of 98.
Ann will be greatly missed by her daughter Carol Alguire, grandchildren Janet Way (Murray), Susan O'Connor (Kevin), Lynda McCauley (Bill), Todd Hayden (Nicole) and Tyler Hayden (Laurie), and great-grandchildren Sheldon, Devon, Mitchell, Sydney, Alexander, Rebecca, Michael, Joey, Emily, Nicholas, Tait and Breton. She is survived by a sister, Frances Miller in England, two brothers, Arthur Riley (Dorothy) and Rev. Stanley Riley (Norma), sister-in-law Minnie Riley, seven nieces and nephews, and many extended family members. Predeceased by parents John Schofield Riley and Isabella Garrett; siblings Jim, Ethel, Bill, Margaret and Mildred; husband Albert Edward Hayden (1966), son Ross Edward Hayden (2007), sons-in-law Rev. Edward Vokey (1974) and William (Bill) Alguire (2009).
Ann's family will forever remember her warm smile and strength of spirit, as well as her delicious Christmas cookies!
At Ann's request, cremation has taken place. All are invited to share their memories of Ann during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 2-4 pm. Interment will take place in Montreal in the Spring. Ann's daughter wishes to extend sincere thanks to the 5th floor medical and support staff of St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate care throughout her final journey. Deep appreciation is also extended to the many staff members at Terrace on the Square who provided Ann with loving support during her residence there.
