Obituary of Joseph Berta

Passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the age of 62 years. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Ludovika of 39 years, his son Richard, sister Ottilia Kraus in Germany as well as nieces, nephews and family members in the former Yugoslavia and Hungary. He will also be remembered by his sister-in-law Erika Viragh of Sweden and her two daughters, Julie and Anna and her husband Alexander and their children Alexander and Beata. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helena (nee Farkas) Berta. Born in the former Yugoslavia, Joseph immigrated with his family to Canada in 1977. He was employed with B.F. Goodrich for 28 years until his retirement. He thoroughly enjoyed his hobbies filming nature, birds and animals as well as oil painting. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joseph with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Joseph's life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
