I remember we were about 12 or 13 years old just getting into the teen years and Lisa was "developed" earlier than the rest of us. She had a model body by then. We were standing out on Livingstones front lawn and she had a robe on and wanted to show me her new bikini. It was a hot day and everyone on the street was outside mowing the lawn, gabbing to neighbours etc. Lisa took off the robe and I think every man and boy on the street dropped what they were doing and gasped. She had the most gorgeous body in her green and yellow bikini and long brown hair. I think the street went totally silent for a few seconds. I am sure Nigel and Darren's jaws dropped. She was absolutley beautiful.

Livingstone and Jolkowski Families We had the pleasure of meeting Lisa a few years ago when she visited Newfoundland with my sister Linda and on our visits to Kitchener. When we visited Kitchener she always went out of her way to entertain us. We will remember her as a kind and loving person especially to the children. May happy memories of Lisa comfort you at this difficult time. Wayne, Marie and Brandon Heath.

I was very sad to learn of Lisa's passing. I met Lisa years ago at DanceFit and enjoyed our friendly exchanges throughout the years as we tried to stay fit at dance class. She had a great attitude and a quick smile. Sadly, we both shared grief when she lost her brother in a tragic accident the same day as I lost my second cousin in a car accident. She was a giving person and I recall that she missed one DanceFit class each week while she helped take her niece to swimming classes. Our paths last crossed at a pottery sale, but sadly we didn't dance together again. Unfortunately, I am in Florida now and unable to attend the memorial service for Lisa. I send condolences to Lisa's husband and Mother and family on her loss. Sincerely, Barb Reidl

Lisa had this thing about snow. To put it nicely, she hated snow and that was it!
As we started reminicing about Lisa, a few great snow stories came to mind.
We met Lisa about 20 years ago at 100 Queen St. N. Our kitchen sinks were on the same wall, and within no time we had a "kitchen tap code" going. We would look forward to the "tap tap" on Friday evenings from each other for happy hour. That's how it got started...
So, the snow... The first time we sat for endless hours with Lisa and drank wine was the night that it took her three hours to get home from the Region of Waterloo office because of a snow storm. (It was one of the worst snow storms I had ever experienced since I moved to Ontario which is quite astounding coming from Newfoundland. Linda) She knocked on the door and she was ready for a wine to say the least...
As time went on over the years we had many an evening sharing dinners, playing cards, sharing our families, our ups and downs and becoming life long friends.
When we first moved to Simeon St. she stayed over one night with us because of a snow storm. We slept in and off we went to Zehrs around 1 in the afternoon in our pajamas...
Then the night she had the house warming on Greenbrook. It was a balmy March day around 20 degrees and Lisa had a crowd of friends over for the Wok Wagon. Around 10 o'clock we noticed this major blizzard happening outside, and within half an hour, she started to break out in hives. We were all freaked, of course she's doing the big Fooie... She was covered in hives and there was no way that I could leave her alone that night so I stayed. Thankfully, she was ok.
When I saw the snow coming down on Sunday evening, I just knew. I said to Luke, "no one hated snow more than Aunt Lisa. I have a feeling she's up there already looking down on us and laughing." Sure enough, 5 minutes later we got the news...
These are just a few of the many memories we have with Lisa over the years. She was one special lady and we loved her very much.
May God Bless Her Always as she's basking on the beach!
Love Linda, Jamie, Luke and Angela

I was very sad to hear the news about Lisa. I have great memories of growing up across the street from Lisa on Cloverdale; birthday parties, swimming, endless games of hide-and-go-seek. I remember Lisa's great laugh. Memories are something no one can take away from us. My thoughts are with you, Sheila, Jill and family. Ingrid

I consider myself blessed to have been friends and worked with Lisa for so long. She was a funny girl, no nonsense, didn't take crap from anybody. Lisa could chat up everyone she met. And the stories she could tell. I travelled vicariously through her stories about her trips and her concerts. I am going to miss her deeply.
