Obituary of Joachim Thiel

Joachim completed his life journey on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. After a long illness he left peacefully with his beloved wife Christa by his side. Dear brother of Lena Ptach and Ingrid Grunefeld. Loving uncle of Ivy and Ute Ptach, Tobias and Claudia Grunefeld. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Helmut Ptach, Alfred Cioch and Walter Cioch. Joachim was employed for 30 years with Algoma Ore in Wawa, ON He spent his retirement in St. Agatha; an active member of Christian Fellowship Church in Waterloo. Friends will be received at Christian Fellowship Church 315 Northlake Dr., Waterloo on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The celebration of Joachim's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday following the visitation with Rev. Kurt Fischer and Rev. Mike Rattee officiating. Refreshments will be served in the church hall. Cremation has taken place with a private interment following the reception Special thanks to Dr. Jakda and the CCAC care team especially Diane.
