Obituary of Grace Stadtlander

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Grace Stadtlander (nee Gough), on April 15, 2011. A life long resident of KW, she is predeceased by her brothers, Bill and Abbie Gough,and Husband Elmer Stadtlander. One of the original "Kaufman girls," Grace spent her war years working for the local footwear company and after raising her family, worked for the regional Health Unit. An avid mall walker, Grace could be found most mornings trekking across Canada with her friends; one lap at a time at Conestoga Mall. Grace was active and social all her life, passionate about books, figure skating and line dancing. Survived by her children, Janet and John (Sharron) Stadtlander, Grandchildren Jeff Ulrich, Amy Ulrich, and Alan Stadtlander, and great grandson Nathan Poile-Stadtlander, Grace will be missed dearly by all those who loved her. Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, will take place on Thursday, April 21st from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by a short service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
