Obituary of Robert Leis

Bob passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kitchener on Monday, April 25, 2011, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Grace (Arndt) for 50 years. Dear father of Brenda Ziegler, John Leis (Jackie Renaud) and Bobby Leis; grandfather of Eric Ziegler, Andrew Ziegler, and Jordiandra Leis; great-grandfather of Samantha Leis, Joshua Leis, and Kaiden Ziegler; and brother of Betty, and Nancy Taylor (Leis). Predeceased by his infant daughter, Barbara Ann; parents, Joseph and Iona (Shantz) Leis; and sister, Norma. Bob was employed with the City of Kitchener for over 30 years in parks and recreation and with Kitchener Transit. Before retirement, Bob was supervisor for Public Works. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Robert during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, April 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2-3:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 p.m., Saturday with Rev. Marilyn Rudy-Froese officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
