I have been lucky to have known Brigitte for 15 years now. She has been an awesome friend and person to me. She was always a lot of laughs and a lot of fun to be around. I will never forget all the times we spent with her especially at the Friday lunches, and holiday celebrations. We laughed, we shared, and sometimes we cried together in our group. Brigitte was always an inspiration to all of us in the lady's group.
She always had hope and always fought hard in spite of the all the suffering she endured. We shared so many happy times, watching our children grow up, becoming grandparents, going to showers and wedding celebrations. One memory in particular was sharing my birthday where we all wore crazy hats and had a High Tea Party, just like the Royals.
Another memory was at a Christmas gathering when we accidentally almost lit the table on fire with our wrapping paper from our yearly gift exchange. Brigitte and I were laughing hysterically. The gift she gave me that year was a beautiful bird house which still hangs on my tree in the backyard.
Thanks for memories. I will always remember my special friend Brigitte.

I have known Brigitte for over 30 years. She was my dearest friend, my confidant. She was the life of the party. Friday's the gang would meet for our "Girl's Kaffee Klatsch" lunch. There was always so much laughter that we often had to remind ourselves to keep it down! Brigitte laughed with us, cried with us, counseled us and never held back her opinions. She was a true friend, open and honest, someone you could count on in good times and in bad and we loved her for that. During her years of cancer treatments she never lost her zest for life and no matter how much pain she endured she still managed to make the nurses and other patients laugh. Our Friday lunches won't be the same without her. We love you Brigitte and will cherish these memories in our hearts forever.

There is no way I can capture all that is Brigitte in this small space. She was the most amazing person who had a zest for life like no other and always remained positive. She and Manfred welcomed me into their family the moment Lars and I started dating and I will always remember how she called us "the kids".
