Obituary of Michael Davis

Passed away peacefully on May 13, 2011 at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, at the age of 68. Cherished husband of Ivena (nee Rutherford) for 47 years. Loved father of Scott Michael (Marion), Shawn (Jackie), Stuart (Serena) and Susan (David) Wheeler. Grandpa will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren. Survived by his sister Joyce Blake. Predeceased by his parents George and Irene, and by siblings Norma, Gilbert, John (Bud), and George in infancy. Michael worked for Grand River Transit and Sunar-Hauserman. He served as the VP for the Ontario Lacrosse Association, and enjoyed coaching lacrosse and hockey as well as playing in the Scouthouse Alumni Band. Friends are invited to share their memories of Michael with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, May 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral on Wednesday, May 18 at 11 a.m. Followed by a reception. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau.
