Obituary of Catherine Delworth

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 20, 1925, Catherine passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, age 86 years. Dear wife of the late David Delworth (2005) Loving mother of Helen Leitch and Christina Hickinbotham both of Waterloo. Will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, David (Jennifer) Leitch, James (Robin) Leitch, Catherine Anne Hickinbotham; great grandchildren Clark, Kylie and Matthew Leitch. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ella and Cathy, many nieces and nephews all of Scotland and a good friend Timothey Quesnel of Waterloo. Predeceased by a son-in-law James Leitch (1992); sisters Betty, Maisie, Jessie, Chrissie and Jean all from Scotland. The family would like to thank the palliative care nurses, Dr. Donna Ward, Dr. David, Dr. Dunken Schwartz and the nursing staff at Freeport Health Center. The Delworth family invites friends to share their memories of Catherine on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A reception in the Fireside Reception Room will follow the service.
