Obituary of Dustin Picard

PICARD, Dustin 1992 - 2011 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the tragic passing of Dustin, as the result of a motor vehicle accident, on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the age of 18. Beloved son of Bernie and Domenica Picard and dear brother of Adam (fiancée Laura Neil). Dearly loved by his Nonno, Nunziato Gulli; Nonna, Giuseppina Gulli; and Oma, Anna-Maria Picard. Lovingly remembered nephew of Tony and Karen Gulli, Jutta Picard, and Rita Picard; cousin of Jana, Jenna, and Shalene. Predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Rolf Picard. Sadly missed by his family in the United States, Italy, and Germany. Dustin was a Grade 12 student at Huron Heights Secondary School in Kitchener. Dustin was a remarkable young man. His athleticism and strong commitment to friendships on and off the field will be cherished. Dustin will always be remembered for his free spirit, orange shoes, plaid shirts and his grin. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Dustin during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 317 Franklin St. N., Kitchener on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Koellner officiating. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home, www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445, to establish a Scholarship Fund in Dustin's memory.
