Breithaupt, Marion Gertrude Elizabeth Martha (nee Roos)

In her 102nd year, Marion passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest Retirement Home.
A lifelong resident of Waterloo, she was the youngest daughter of Peter H. Roos and Mary Elizabeth Zimmerman.
Predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert and her sisters Norma, Pauline and Ruby. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Major Rudolph A. Breithaupt, MBE, ED, BA, her older son Peter and a grandson Peter Jr.
She is survived by her son James, by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A committed Lutheran, she created the Christmas ornaments for the Chancel Trees at St. John's Lutheran Church, which have been used for forty years.
An expert knitter, cook and homemaker, her wartime years were spent in military support activities for her husband and his brothers Major Fred, Surgeon Lieutenant Commander David and Lieutenant Arthur.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held with interment in the family plot at Mount Hope Cemetery.
