Masters, John "Morris"

 

 

 

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener

 

on Thursday June 30, 2011.

 

 

 

Beloved companion and best friend of Audrey Schlitt. Dear father of Wayne. Brother of Ruth Elliott of Exeter and Gwen Hall of California. Morris will be sadly missed by Audrey's family William (Bill) and Debby Schlitt, of Whitby. He was also the beloved Papa to Bobby Schlitt and his wife Kim and Heidi Schlitt; Great-Papa to Braiden. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

 

 

 

Predeceased by his parents Ernest Masters and Elizabeth (Bessie) nee Pye and sisters Aileen Bottoms, Deanna Parkin and brother Kenneth.

 

 

 

Morris was born Aug 7, 1923 in East Zorra township, Ontario. Served in World War II with the Canadian Army, active for 5 years. Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch 530. Employed at G & A Lock, Waterloo for many years.

 

 

 

Friends are invited to share their memories of Morris during a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday July 5, 2011 from 12 to 12:45 p.m. The memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment Embro Cemetery at a later date.
