Obituary of Betty Preston

Preston, Betty Joan - Formerly of Lakefield, ON, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 69. Mother of Ken Hensley (Stacie) of Bellbrook, Ohio and Kelly Hagen of Kitchener. Nanna of Lindsay and Shawn Hagen and Kali and Faith Hensley. Sister of Jean Hinze of Barrie, Arn (Jane) Preston, Alec (Ev) Preston and Barb Johnson all of Peterborough. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Preston and brother Ralph Preston. Betty was a skilled hairdresser and completed her career teaching her skills at the Academy of Hair Design in Kitchener, which she owned and managed until her retirement. A memorial gathering will take place at 22 Cranbrook St., Kitchener, Sunday July 10th from 1pm - 5pm. A family interment and service will be held at Lakefield Cemetery, on Friday, July 15.
