Obituary of Rudy Schulze
Passed away at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre, Waterloo, on Tuesday July 12, 2011, at the age of 82 years.
Beloved husband of Eva. Loving father of Karin Henning and her husband Kurt and Christina Ashcroft and her husband Mike. Opa of Christopher Henning (Michelle), Nikki Fowler (Craig) and Alexandra Ashcroft. "Clock Opa" of Caprice and Avery Henning and Jackson Fowler.
Predeceased by his parents Richard and Charlotte Schulze (nee Neumann) and his brothers Alfred and Herbert Schulze.
Rudy was a man who had a passion for the competitive shooting sports both personally and professionally and was recognized for this in several countries. As a member of the Canadian National Rifle Shooting team he competed at the World Championships in 1966, was a medalist in the 1967 Pan-Am Games and competitor in the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. Rudy actively volunteered and was involved in many local, provincial, and national clubs, organizations and associations.
Honoring Rudy's personal wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends are invited to a Service of Committal, to be held at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Ave. East, Waterloo, on Monday July 18, 2011 at 2 pm.
