Obituary of J. Delene Somerville

SOMERVILLE, J. DELENE Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Beloved wife of Bob for 48 years; loved mother of David (Susan), Jane (Christophe) and Timothy (Julie); cherished grandmother of Katie, Julia, Rebecca, Nicolas and Thomas; dear sister of Dawn O'Leary (Michael), Carol Wauchope (Donald), Peggy McGhee, Doug Wales (Peggy), Cathy Brown (Ray) and Sandy Ferris (Art). Delene will also be greatly missed by Bob and Willa McLean, Olive and Don Davidson, Helen (pre-deceased by her beloved brother-in-law Wayne) Somerville and many, very much loved nieces and nephews and their children. Delene (Mom) was the World`s best mother, its most generous Grandma, a loving wife and a truly dedicated, caring and courageous friend. She created a lifetime of happy memories with friends from Bridge Club, Book Club, Probus and Theatre Club, as well as through her many wonderful years working as an English teacher with the Waterloo County School Board and through her volunteer work with UNICEF and the KW Kidney Foundation. Friends are invited to share their memories of Delene with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday July 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held.
