Obituary of Eleanor Cowan

COWAN, Eleanor (Koebel) (nee Siopiolosz) 1933 - 2011 Eleanor passed away peacefully and suddenly, surrounded by her children, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in her 78th year. Loving and devoted mother of Charlene Voisin (Butch) of St. Clements, Jamie Ferguson (Al) of Bowmanville, Dennis Koebel (Nancy), Bonnie Kieswetter (Paul), and Lee Ann Lobsinger (Kevin), all of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Scott, Joe, Jill, Amy, Andrew, Tricia, Brandon, Cody, Quinton, Faith, Ashley, Samantha and great-grandmother of Kayla, Devon, Katie, Bentley, Olivia, Joshua, and Victoria. Survived by her brother, Joe Siopiolosz (Gloria); sisters, Geraldine Anderson, Annette Hergott (Tom), Dolly Bugera, Mary Anne Hurst (Lloyd); and sister-in-law, Carolyn Siopiolosz and their families. Fondly remembered by Bob Cowan and sister-in-law Margaret. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Irene Siopiolosz; brother, Bob Siopiolosz; brothers-in-law, Dick Anderson, Nick Bugera, Alvin Cowan; sister-in-law, Jackie Siopiolosz; and infant granddaughter, Carrie-Ann. Eleanor enjoyed casino trips and weekends with her family playing cards and Dominoes. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Eleanor during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, July 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:30 p.m. On Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10 a.m., prayers will be offered at the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 11 .am. at St. Clement's RC Church, 3619 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements with Rev. Wayne Lobsinger officiating. Cremation to follow. A reception will immediately follow the mass at the St. Clements Community Centre.
