Obituary of B. Elaine Pond

POND, B. Elaine Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 29, 2011 at the age of 79. Elaine is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Dr. Ronald Pond, her daughters, Janet (John) Hall of Sutton, Sharon (Terry) Morrow of Penticton BC, Suzanne Santyr of Ottawa, and Erika (Doug) Pond-Clements of Kitchener, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will also be remembered by her brothers and their families, Douglas (Lynda) Richmond of Burlington and Howard (Mary) Richmond of Simcoe. Elaine was predeceased by her parents George and Flora (nee: Krotz) Richmond and her brother Kenneth Richmond. Elaine was a co-founder of the Canadian Association of Astrological Education (CAAE) and was the past Chair of both Niagara South and Wellington County Public School Boards. Friends are invited to share their memories of Elaine with her family during a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, August 3 at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation and a private family interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe will take place at a later date.
