Obituary of Henry Schmidt

Henry passed away surrounded by his family, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Sunday, July 31, 2011. He was the loving husband of Alice and caring father of Albert (Amanda) and Arthur. The dotting chocolate dispensing Opa of Lena, Ellie and Charlotte. Loving brother of Martha. Special Uncle of Ruth (Randy), Rita [(Dennis)], Ruby (Harold), Richard (Karen), Paul (Melissa), Mark, Phillip, Ruth, Esther (Scott) and Daniel and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Henry was a dedicated employee of Lear Manufacturing for 48 years; a long time member of Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church, Kitchener, and a member of the CAW. Honoring Henry's personal wishes cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Henry with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, August 4 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday Aug 5, from 1-2 pm followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 2. Reception to follow. Interment near Winchester Ontario at a later date.
