Baker Family: So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Due to work commitments and being many miles apart we are unable to be with you at this time. We remember often when you welcomed us into your home and made us feel like a part of your family while living so far away from our home in Newfoundland. Whenever there was a Baker family occasion you included us and it was during those times we had the privilege of Bill becoming a part of our lives. There are some wonderful memories that we hold close to our hearts and our hope for you from this day forward is that you find the strength in those memories and each other. I always remember Bill as a friendly face that I could count on every time we were together. As an avid curler, Bill would often chat with me before and after my curling games to ask me how I was doing and how the game was. When I went to watch my brother play, I could always count on Bill to support him and we would discuss strategy throughout the game. Despite not having the chance to spend time with Bill recently, I vividly remember all of his kind words. Bill will be thoroughly missed in the Barrick household and in the curling community.
