Obituary of Mary Poschner

Passed away unexpectedly with her cherished and dear friend Maria Rauh, on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Mary will be sadly missed by her children, Michael Poschner and his long time companion Helga, Irmy Binkley, and Ingrid and her husband Dave Sommers. Loving Oma to Michael J. Poschner (Shelly), Martin and his wife Dawn Poschner, Daniel Binkley, Jessica and her husband Jeff Baechler and Sheila and her husband Tim Barfoot, great-oma to Beth, Eric, Gavin, Brittany, Kyle, Draven, Kyra, Liam and Emma. Mary is also survived by her relatives in Austria. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Katharina Schuster. Born on November 28, 1928 in Schöenbirk, Romania. Mary was an active member of the Transylvania Club for over 60 years and was a Past President of the Women's Auxillary. She was a long time member of Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and an active volunteer at Trinity Village. Mary enjoyed her daily walks and coffee with her many friends in the walking club. Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, August, 20, 2011 from 1-4 pm and Sunday, August 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, August 23 at 11:00 am with Rev. Krister Ulmanis officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation and interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery will follow at a later date.
