Obituary of Jane Allen

Died at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 19, 2011 at age 57. Loved wife of George for 30 years; wonderful mom of Jeremy and his wife Danielle, and Tracey; dear sister of the late Bill Porter and his wife Nancy, Bob and Carmen, Doug and Pat, and Jack; loving daughter-in-law of Catherine Allen; much loved sister-in-law of Jane and Murray Black and Mike and Cathleen Allen; beloved aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Grandma to Bella (puppy). Predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Jean Porter. Jane was a dedicated employee for 26 years at Conestoga Rovers and Associates, where she touched many people all over the world with her friendliness and sense of humour. Those friendships were returned to Jane many times over during her illness. Many thanks to Carol, Wendy, Jane, Nancy and all who showed love and support to Jane and family during this difficult time. Also thanks to her healthcare team for their kindness and caring. Jane will be missed by all. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St.W., Waterloo on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Krestick officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the church. Cremation will take place with interment in Memory Gardens at a later date.
