Bruce certainly had an impact on the club and helped shape it for 50 years. His presence, wisdom and dedication are missed often. It's hard to believe a whole year has now gone by, but his spirit and example will live on in the Bruce H Raszmann Memorial Award and continue to inspire volunteers to reach new heights. Our thoughts and prayers go to his Family and those who were close to him.

Bruce certainly left a legacy, and the new Bruce Raszmann ONA award is a nice touch. I don't think we'll find somebody who could maintain the same work level that Bruce did for ONA and WCS all these years. It's already proven to take several people to fill his shoes, as he left such big shoes. Bruce is noticeably missed at local shows and numismatic events too.

Bruce was a private person who was known by everyone but known well by a relatively small group. I am honoured to have considered him a friend who could always be trusted to give an honest answer, even when it hurt. The Waterloo and ONA groups will automatically think of him in the months to come when they have a problem to solve but he won’t be there. His dedication to detail was rare. I would like to extend my condolences to the Raszmann family on their loss.

Just a few years ago Bruce and I were talking about his vehicle and the difficulties he was having finding a replacement as he was accustomed to leasing a new one every 2 years. Most of the vehicles he looked at were too small, uncomfortable or just unacceptable, so I asked him why not simply keep the one you have? It didn't make sense to replace his vehicle with one the same age that might have come with additional problems. That really was a new concept to him and for the first time in his life he actually had to buy replacement winter tires, which we spent a good part of the day running around and pricing. I'm glad to have been around to be part of that and certainly will miss our trips to Stratford each month. Though we couldn't convince him to travel the 400 series, give that man a back road and directions, he would get there.

Bruce was a rare and unique individual you could always count on no matter what his temperment, or how much he protested. Bruce represented stability for many people, as long as he was there doing all the jobs he loved, you knew things were going to be ok. He's going to be missed after having been the focal point of WCS and the ONA since their beginnings. My condolences to the Raszmann family during this time of grief and sorrow.

Bruce has been a cornerstore of our community for many years, whether through his church and family, his charitable support, his friends, his long history with Mutual (Clarica) or his numismatic endeavours. We will always appreciate and remember his kindness and dedication. Our prayers for Bruce's family during this difficult time are already underway and will continue. Bruce will be dearly missed, and has left very large shoes to be filled!
