Obituary of Gopala Raju Sagi

Passed away peacefully with his wife and son by his side, at the K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the age of 68 years from a massive cardiac arrest. He lived a life loving and being loved by his large family and wide circle of friends. He leaves behind his family members (Annapurna, Akash, Vasavi, and Lakshmii), 4 grandchildren (Janu, Rahul, Divyanshi and Devaansh), 2 brothers (Bharat and Surya), Sister (Jyothi), as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. Raju was born in Andhra Pradesh, India, the first of the four children. He was a retired government employee in India and spent most of his life in India. He had an amazing memory and was a wonderful story teller, often entertaining us with tales of his childhood and the antics of his dearest son. Raju loved cooking, traveling, reading, and playing with his grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. Cremation will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
