Jack Sadowski posted a condolence

My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Underwood. When I arrived in Canada in 1981, at the age of 18, I was apprehensive and confused. I did, however have a deep love for technology and electronics. I took Mr. Underwood's electronics course at Cameron Heights. That class made me realize that even though in a new country, I am still the person I was and some things are common no matter where you are. Mr Underwood remained me of the electronics teacher back home. This made some things fall into place for me and let me find myself in the new environment. Mr Underwood, with his life stories from the old continent, was a big part of my transformation into a Canadian. I will always remember the effect he had on me. - Jack Sadowski, class of 1984.

My deepest condolences. I first met Mr. Underwood when he was my electronics teacher at Cameron Heights back in the early '70's. I wasn't the best kid in his class but I always liked and respected him. We used to affectionately call him the "little electron". I'll always remember him for straying away and talking about military or union/management issues every time he hadn't prepared a lesson. We always got a kick out of that. Years later we got re-acquainted when I started going to St. John's church. We talked every week at coffee hour. He was a great person who will be missed by many. So long sir. Paul Wilson

Bruce was a fine gentleman. I only met him @ 15 years ago through the Retired Business and Professional Mens Club, we curled together very often and he was good and competitive but friendly, then we golfed on several occasions. He took the passing of his wife quite hard and her passing was a definite blow, however he continued to keep active and was inspirational to many men much younger than he.
I offer my condolences to the family, your Dad was a good guy based on my interactions with him.

I have known and worshipped with Bruce for. many, many years and I shall miss our chats after the church service at coffee hour with him very much. He was a true gentleman, and an amazing example of someone older in years, but up to date with life as it unfolded. I also was very fond of Sybil, and missed her very much as did Bruce and I am sure the whole Underwood famil. Please accept my condolences
Sincerely. Bette. Moore 2hnD3

My deepest condolensces to you all. Bruce was so very dear and welcoming of me every month when I was home to visit my dad. We shared a pew at church and he always had a hug and a smile for me. His spirit will be missed, but I know he is delighted to be with Sybil once again.
