Obituary of Judith Ann Thomas

Judy peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 30, 2017 from her residence, at age 79.

Beloved wife of Paul for 57 years. Loved mother of Sean (Laurie) and Cameron (Sarah). Cherished grandmother of William, Connor, Ella, Matthew and Sophie.  Dear sister-in-law of Catherine and Gerry Thiel, Bob (2016) and Cavelle Thomas, Nancy and Basil McDougall, Jane and Jim Gohl, Chuck and Nancy Thomas, and Patricia Weber.

Predeceased by her parents Earl and Eileen (Esch) Weber and by brothers, Jon and Jerry Weber.

Judy was a founding member and active parishioner of Christ Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She doted on her grandchildren, teaching them arts and crafts, baking her famous shortbreads, and playing many games of Uno.  Judy enjoyed expressing her creative side in her many oil paintings, stained glass, and pottery pieces.  Her true passion was using her talent as a prolific knitter to raise funds for many charitable groups (Stephen Lewis Foundation, Omas Siskona, Prayer Shawl). 

Visitation will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 445 Anndale Rd., Waterloo on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10 until 10:45.  The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary with Rev. David Malina officiating. A private family Graveside Service will be followed by a reception at the church.
