Obituary of August Herchenratter

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo at the age of 98 years.

Augie leaves behind Joanne, his loving wife of 72 years and his children Don (Barb) Herchenratter, Judie (Bob) Hiscox, Nancy (Joe) Susko, his grandchildren Chris Herchenratter, Carrie (Ben) Lehman, Stephen Hiscox, Jeri (Sam) Zambri and Ryan Susko as well as his great-grandchildren Sydney and Jake Lehman.

Augie was predeceased by his parents Pauline (nee Schmidt) and Conrad Herchenratter and siblings Stella, Norman, Alma and Art.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:45 pm with a Royal Canadian Legion Branch #530 tribute ceremony at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment will take place at a later date.
