Obituary of Joseph Gerald Shea

Jerry passed away unexpectedly at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 83.

 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Berenice (nee Freeman) in 1992.

 

Jerry is survived by two sisters, Louise MacArthur and Nancy (Jim) Pomfret.  Special Pops of Lynn Marie Fry and her husband Mike Finney, (Brooke, Jeffrey and Michael Fry), Barb (Larry) Zinger (Maxwell), Kim Kyle and Trish (Robert) Stapleton (Christopher and JJ).

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Kathryn (nee Lynett) Shea and six siblings Joan (Bud) Steen, Dorothy, Mary, Frances Walinga, Charles and Barry. Loved Uncle to Denise, Diane, Carol, Michael, Jason, Jamie, Jonathan, Kathy, Karen, Marie, Sandra, Steve and Cheryl. 

 

Jerry was proud to be a Korean War Veteran. He had an amazing sense of humour and loved old cars and Tim Hortons coffee. 

 

A Luncheon Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:30 a.m.  Cremation has taken place.
