Obituary of Colleen Kavanaugh

Colleen went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at St. Mary’s General Hospital following a very brief illness.


Colleen is survived by her dear parents, Cecil and Doris (nee Martin) Kavanaugh and her siblings, Brendan, Maureen (Douglas) Winkler, Mark (Stephanie) Kavanaugh, and Kerry (Rachel) Kavanaugh. Colleen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her beloved brother Sean in 1999.


For 29 years, Colleen lived as a resident in a Group Home under the supervision of K-W Habilitation Services where she was very lovingly cared for.


Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m., Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen Street East, Waterloo on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Father Ray Reitzel as Celebrant.  A reception will immediately follow the funeral mass in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.  A private family interment will be held at a later date.
