Obituary of Rev. John Griffiths

November 12, 1928 – January 13 2018

“Lived with dignity

   died with grace.”

Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour

in his 90^th year.

Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Phillips) for over 60 years. Loving father of Gillian (Barry) and Stephen (Cindi). Proud granddad of Cameron and Heather and great granddad to Morrison. Predeceased by sisters Gladys and Joan and brother Aneirin back home in Wales.

John ministered for 60 years and pastored churches in New Brunswick, Wales and Ontario. He was very involved with the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec and within the communities where he lived. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends and congregations, his faithfulness and gentle giving spirit. John will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of John’s life will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave., Waterloo on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
