Dear Dick and family,
I fondly remember the years as your neighbour living on Alexandra Ave. We so appreciated your friendship and support over the years. My late mom Rose always spoke fondly of Shirley. May God grant you every grace needed at this most challenging time.

My deepest sympathy Dick, Rick, Sharyn and families
One memory of Shirley I have was a Christmas stocking she made for Randy many many years ago. Every Christmas we would see this stocking in the storage box Randy always said to me "don't ever throw it out my Aunt Shirl made this for me". It's still here today but now in Randy's memory box. Dick cherish all your memories and stay strong that's what you always told me. Love Doris Hillier

We will miss you Shirley. When we would visit you at the cottage, you always lit up the room with your energy and wit.

A couple of days after the car accident about a year and a half ago I saw Shirley in the Trauma Unit at the hospital in Hamilton. She was in tough shape as many of you know. The doctor had just finished examining her, peeled off the surgical gloves and tossed them into the garbage. Shirley, in her medicated state said " Hey, shouldn't those plastic gloves go into the recycling?" At that moment the doctor knew she would recover from those terrible injuries. I'll miss you Shirley.
