On behalf of the Kipper family, we are so sorry to hear of Mr. Boland's passing. We all have so many happy and fun memories of our families at the cottage and other adventures, growing up. Jim was such a good friend to our dad and mom. Jim's infectious laughter and high energy was contagious. May your wonderful memories of Jim provide comfort in the days and weeks to come. Hugs to all of you.
Very nice man! I have good memories of him.
He seemed to always be running at work!
After my dad passed away, he would drop by our house quite often to see how we were doing...often with flowers for my Mom!
As a friend of mine said, who also knew Jim, "We should all be stand up guys like him!"
My sincere condolences to the entire Boland Family. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Boland some 30 years ago while spending time at our cottage in Sauble Beach (52 Gremik). I will always remember seeing Mr. Boland out for his morning walk where he would greet us with a warm "Good Morning" and a wave. My dad and Mr. Boland would often share fishing stories which generally involved Mr. Boland catching fish with Matthew while we were usually skunked. He was a great neighbor and friend to my parents and was an invaluable support to my father after the passing of my mother. I attended my very first Blue Jays game with Mr. Boland and when my father passed away a short time after my mother, Mr. Boland made certain to check in on my brother and I when we were at the cottage and offered any assistance we might have needed. Over the years, the cottage had to be sold and we fell out of contact, but, Mr. Boland is someone that will always be remembered.
